Ítaca: Revista de Filologia was born in 2010, promoted by the Department of Catalan Philology of the University of Alicante.

The journal had a print edition (ISSN 2172-5500 and legal deposit A 184-2016) from issue 1 (2010) to issue 13 (2022).

The papers were published under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license until issue 14 (2023). From issue 15 (2024) onwards, they will be published under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0) license.
